Boothbay Harbor Fest: Event Overview
The Boothbay Harbor Fest started in 2011. A celebration of community and culture, it’s a new tradition for the area. The event is coordinated by ONE Event Productions, LLC in partnership with a number of generous local sponsors. They include Maine Magazine, WMTW Channel 8 (an ABC affiliate station), Edible Maine, the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce, and many more.
What You’ll Do at the Boothbay Harbor Fest
During the span of the Boothbay Harbor Fest, you can expect each day to bring another opportunity for unique entertainment. Keystone events include the following:
- The Boothbay Region Harbor Fest 5K: The route for the Harbor Fest 5K is challenging but beautiful. The course takes runners through a Boothbay Region Land Trust preserve. Miles of water views will inspire you to push through and ascend hilly terrain! See the course map to prepare for the run. This year’s race takes place on Sunday, September 3, 2017.
- Taste of Local Flavor: For $15, your Taste of Local Flavor Passport will allow you sample the fare and atmosphere of over 10 Boothbay Harbor, Maine restaurants, pubs, and shops. Listen to live music as you indulge. Tastings will be held from Friday, September 1 to Sunday, September 3.
- A Stroke of Art: Witness world renowned artists painting the Boothbay Harbor Peninsula, and then view their work at designated venues. Artwork will be for sale, and all receptions are free to attend. A Stroke of Art will begin on September 4 and end on September 10.
