This local spot is one of the best lobster shacks in Maine! It all started in the summer of 2013 when owner Shannon realized there weren’t enough “quick” lobster rolls available in the area. She wanted to create a dish that reached guests quickly but retained the signature quality found in most locally owned restaurants. Today, Shannon’s Unshelled provides that perfect combination! Visitors can find this eatery at 11 Granary Way in the heart of downtown Boothbay Harbor.
What to Try on the Menu
There’s no better way to taste the flavors of Midcoast Maine than eating a fresh, whole lobster atop a buttery bun while looking out over the shimmering harbor. Though the lobster roll is a popular choice off the menu, this shack also serves hot dogs, lobster salads, and homemade lobster stew.
